FOOTBALL IS MOST BEAUTIFUL THING OF THE WORLD

When Argentina beat the Netherlands on penalties with Van Gaal's stubborn refusal to give Weghorst the first penalty (Tite did a similar stupidity to Neymar), Mario Kempes, who celebrates in stands, was the first team captain I ever saw lifting the world cup alive in my life.

Mario Kempes was a good goalscorer, but the memories of the Argentine of '78, in whose name he lifted the trophy into the air, were not bright at all. Argentina was not only engraved in the mind as a military coup country in those years, but also aroused bad feelings by providing the average it needed through Peru, a junta country like itself, by scoring 6 goals to (I wrote without looking at google) while passing the tour.

At that time, it was thought that the dictator of Peru sent his respects to the dictator of Argentina through his team. It's normal to bring this 44-year-old story to mind when you see Kempes in the stands.  Even if  Kempes were not in the stands, “football is never football” phrase supporters have many materials for 2022 World Cup.

We owe it to the fact that the world cup was given to the desert of Qatar in the middle of winter (no old winters are anymore) in the first place. I'm not going to defend Qatar when it's a scandal that Qatar seduced a Greek Socialist deputy for a bribe. Nevertheless, it should be borne in mind that Qatar has only made the stadiums, the footballers continue to play the game.

We would be surprised if FIFA, which  gave  organization to the  the junta's Argentina, did not give to   Qatar.  By the way, we won't see trophies in another desert country in our next stable life, but I can't promise for the Olympics.

What are we to do?

Are we going to bury football because it is being made in Qatar, which has taken the technology of the West and rejected its culture? Isn't that the favorite phrase of parrots in my country too. Technology :Yes Culture :NO

As a 53-year resident of the world, a 47-year Besiktas supporter and a 44-year World Cup follower, should we get angry at the Arabs and burn down the Inönü Stadium? I think exactly the opposite. The Qatar cup in particular is a great experience for me. Although 78 is my first trophy, the place of 82 is separate, and there are many examples from the Italy-Brazil 82 match for the eyes that saw Brazil's elimination to Croatia.

The elimination of Brazil reminded me not only of that epic match, but also of the Austria-Germany cooperation from '82 with the elimination of Spain and Portugal. Can we argue that the "two states, one nation" cooperating to eat Algeria is not like Spain shooting two birds with one stone and turning Japan into the Hungary of one time to get rid of Germany and clash with  "weak" Morocco? Come on, the game you beat Germany was 1 of those 100 games. However, the probability of Japan beating Spain and Germany in the same tournament may be a ratio of "100* 100" to 1.  Portugal and Brazil  guaranteed their spot for 2nd tour and they cared for nothing else.

I wanted all 3 to be eliminated. All 3 were eliminated. Especially how about I saw Brazil's goal from Croatia on the phone 1 minute before it actually happened? This was a complete Twilight Zone story for me.

Moreover, since the beginning of this cup, I have been sharing  forward with best  / lyrical / intellectual" sports commentator of Turkey about my feelings and thoughts in  telegram and getting a response from him (as long he has time).

Who is not in our conversations: Australia and St. Pauli captain Irvine, Onur Sahin, who shone like a star despite the TRT announcers who harassed us with their nonsense at the tournament, Atiba, who came to me too old, Mehmet Ayan; Rigobert Song, US defenserZimmermann, Uğur Dündar, Polish Zielinski, Tardelli, Basque goalkeeper Unai , Louis de Funes, Altinordu, Nico Williams, Abubakar, Anguissa, Choupo Moting, LIvakovic , Lovren, Korea's Coach Bento, Milosevic, Tadic, Mitrovic, Tesla  Ex Yugoslavia, Belgrade, Geert Mak, Karl Sherro, Souttar, Dybala, Louis Enrique, Gavi, Tansu Çiller, Napoleon, Danton, Val Perez, Richarlison, Falcão ,   Socrates, Zoff,  Vialli , Serginho, Juranovic,Weghorst,Saiss.

Can  there be a bad word in a world cup where such a beautiful conversation turns?

Football is never football and at the same time Football is just football. The 2022 world cup is the Champions League 2.0 in my opinion, although I disagree with my commentator friend  on this. Almost whole starting elevens  of Sevilla, Arsenal, Tottenham, PSG , Juventus, Ajax, Borussia, Chelsea, ATM, Real , Man Uni, Man  City, Bayern, Barca are on the pitch here. Half of the players who play are 5 major league players.

Then the world cup is bigger than Qatar. Don't let your hatred of Qatar  hinders your football mind.

So what happens after that?

If our role model is 82 Italy. We can say that whoever beats Brazil will be the champion. Will Croatia become champions? It's better if it's up to me.
